Frost & Sullivan: European PC CD-ROM Market
'The development of the former communist half of the country will
result in Germany setting the pace for growth in the CD-ROM market for
PC systems. German sales of CD-ROM drives, which currently represent
around 24% of the total $68.2M European market, will rapidly increase
to around $47M by the year 1996. Total sales of discs in Europe are
expected to rise from $254.8M in 1992 to over $1.19B in 1996. This
represents an increase in sales of over 4.87M units."

Ovum: European CASE Market
"Despite many reports of cooling down in the Case market, Ovum's
analysis of about 20 leading vendors shows a healthy 28% growth of
1991 versus 1990. However, this is well down on the corresponding
growth of 39% that we found for 1990 versus 1989. We believe that
this reduction in growth is due primarily to adverse reports that
productivity has not lived up to early promises. Overall, we forecast
that the market will grow from ecu 300M in 1991 to ecu 810M in 1996,
a compound growth of 22% per annum."--Ovum Ltd.

Ovum: European Desktop Operating System Market
"There will be no clear winner in the desktop operating systems
battle, according to the latest forecasts from Ovum. The main
competitors in the battle will be Microsoft's Windows and Windows NT,
IBM's OS/2, Macintosh and versions of Unix from USL/Novell, Sun
(Solaris) and SCO. The number of desktop machines in Europe will grow
from 22M in 1992 to 46M in 1997--a compound growth rate of 16% per
annum."--Ovum Ltd.

Ovum: European Systems Consultancy Market
"The systems consultancy market will grow only modestly in the next
five years, from ecu 4.6B in 1991 to ecu 5.5B in 1996, a compound
annual growth rate of 4%. With an average ecu inflation rate of 5%,
this represents a decline in real terms. It will shrink from just
over 12% of the computing services market to under 10%. Systems
consultancy will in fact grow considerably as an activity. But an
increasing proportion will be carried out as part of systems
integration projects."--Ovum Ltd.
